Information for Referring GPs and Consultants
Referrals from GPs, consultants, and other healthcare professionals seeking specialist assessment and management of rheumatological conditions are welcome.
Common reasons for referral include inflammatory arthritis, gout, osteoporosis and fracture risk, PMR/GCA, vasculitis, connective tissue disease, abnormal autoimmune blood tests, unexplained inflammation, and second opinions.
Collaborative care
I aim to provide a comprehensive and clinically sound opinion while maintaining close communication with referring clinicians. Most patients are seen for diagnosis and management advice, with onward care coordinated appropriately — whether through primary care or specialist follow-up.
You will receive a clinic letter promptly, usually on the same day, outlining the assessment, diagnosis, next steps, and follow-up plan.
