What to Expect

Whether you're seeking a diagnosis, a second opinion, or long-term management, my aim is to make the process clear, collaborative, and tailored to your needs.

  • Once your appointment is booked, you’ll receive confirmation with details of the clinic location.
If you're a self-pay patient, payment is taken in advance via a secure payment link.

You can upload your referral letter or supporting documents to your Carebit portal
Alternatively, you can email them directly to Dr Singh’s PA, Lisa:
    ri-mail-line DrSinghPA@ThePhysiciansClinic.co.uk

As part of regulatory requirements, all patients receive a CMA letter with information about fees and clinic arrangements in advance of their appointment.

  • Appointments are unhurried and consultant-delivered. I will:

    • Listen carefully to your concerns and medical history

    • Perform a physical examination (if in person)

    • Review any previous test results or imaging

    • Begin to form a working diagnosis

  • In many cases, I’m able to offer a likely diagnosis and discuss this with you at your first visit.

If further investigations are needed, I’ll explain what’s required and why. Blood tests and X-rays can usually be performed on the same day as your consultation.
More detailed imaging, such as ultrasound or MRI, can often be arranged during the same visit or booked in shortly afterwards at your convenience.

Follow-up is arranged promptly to review your results and finalise the diagnosis where needed.

  • Once we’ve reached a working diagnosis, I’ll outline your treatment options clearly — whether that involves medication, lifestyle support, joint injections, or referrals.

We’ll tailor the approach together, and I’ll stay in close contact with your GP or other clinicians where needed.

Clinic letters are usually sent the same day to you and all healthcare professionals involved in your care, so everyone stays informed.

Whether you need a one-off opinion or longer-term input, my goal is to provide clarity, support, and a path forward that works for you.

In-person and Virtual Appointments

I strongly encourage all new patient appointments to be face-to-face where possible, as this allows for a more thorough assessment, including physical examination if needed.

However, I do offer virtual appointments by phone or secure video consultation, particularly for follow-ups or where travel is difficult. If you're unsure what's most appropriate for your situation, my team will be happy to advise.
